Leupold & Stevens, Inc. is a Charter Supporter of the Hunting and Shooting Sports Heritage Fund
In an effort to portray the shooting sports in an accurate and truthful light, an exciting program has been developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Board of Governors. The NSSF formally launched the Hunting and Shooting Sports Heritage Fund at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show held in Atlanta, Georgia in February 1999.

The Heritage Fund was created to raise revenue to support a strong and unified response to politically motivated lawsuits against the industry as well as fund a public education campaign focusing on the shooting sports. The fund-raising program is based on a voluntary contribution by manufacturers of one-percent of hunting and shooting-related sales. One-half of all contributions will go to public education and marketing communications efforts and the balance will fund critical legal and legislative issues facing the industry.

Leupold’s President and CEO, Tom Fruechtel, was pleased to announce the company’s participation in the program at the NSSF’s Board Meeting in February 1999. The Heritage Fund is gaining widespread support across the industry, and Leupold stands enthusiastically behind this important program.
